Yep yep. Move on. Barger has been great.

Yamamoto is pitching tomorrow

He isn't throwing 7 innings. Bring em on. As you have alluded to in your Varsho posts, baseball is hardly preditcable but I'd bet a guy pitching on consecutive days after throwing nearly 100 pitches isn't gonna be nearly as effective as he was today

You may be right, but there’s a difference between an all-time great pitcher and some regular joe I think

If Yamamoto gets the ball late, I’m willing to bet he doesn’t do what Sasaki does

They almost gave the Jays the championship by pulling him away too soon. He must have 30 to 40 pitches in him fo tomorrow.

They took a huge risk to pull him after 6 and it almost backfired by costing them their season

But it didn’t, we blew it and now they’ve got a huge pitching advantage for game 7

I really thought he would throw 115 pitches like Snell, when they pulled him out I was like why? Jays should have won this but hey game 7 here we come.

Throwing 100+ in one game like he did in Japan, and doing it in two games with 22 hours in between, are two different things.

They lose the DH, unless he's starting or he moves to positional player so i guess he can brought in as relief and then move to OF?

Blue Jays I feel like have the pitching advantage even though it may not seem like it. Scherzer, Bassitt, an Bieber have pitched the Dodgers well this series and the Dodgers haven't exactly been batting well these past 3-4 games.

How do they have a big advantage if beiber, bassit, yesavage are available...just need max to keep it 1 or 2 runs in 4 innings

They’re not gonna play Shohei in a position he hasn’t played in 5 years in a WS game 7

He’s the starting pitcher, has to be

Barger’s base stealing mishap didn’t even bother me that much. It’s Clement’s stupid a** decision to swing on the first pitch when you have a runner on 2nd and 3rd. Run up the pitch count and put pressure on the pitcher ffs.

If we have to face there starters... Who we scared of? We got to Shohei, We battered Snell twice, Glasnow isn't anything to fear. Only Yamamoto is scary and he's got 2/3 innings max imo.

I wasn't thinking about him pitching in game 7, I thought he needed to pitch as long as he could to secure that win tonight because let's be real, he's the only pitcher who can stop this lineup. But I'm sure he'll have some in the tank for tomorrow.

Gotta have the lead late so that he can’t end us

Yeah, if he came in as a reliever they would lose the DH spot and he would have to move to the OF to stay in the game.

Won't matter though, he's definitely starting.

Jays are gonna use Gausman for an inning tomorrow too, he still had bullets left today when they pulled him too

Well to be honest he often does that but this was the worst pitch to do it.

I didn't follow closely when he was with the Angels, did he play OF for them when not pitching much? When he was healthy.

I know it won't happen tomorrow just curious
