Ohtani had some good hits off Scherzer last game...I feel like he may have to walk Ohtani at times. Now, Gausman shouldn't have because he has proven he can get Ohtani out.

I don't worry about Scherzer anymore, it was clear that during the regular season he was battling different ailments but that time off helped him get his body right and we've seen it so far in these playoffs. He knows how to pitch in the playoffs.

Very uncharacteristic of him

We should stop this false narrative. Ambushing the first pitch is VERY characteristic of Ernie. He's been doing it all season. He's not a patient hitter. He's an aggressive hitter.

I mean...this isn't a controversial or debateable point. Ernie ALWAYS attacks the first pitch. He didnt get the pitch he was counting on and it popped up instead of going foul.

It also doesn't matter to take pitches in the ninth. You're not trying to wear down a pitcher or have "quality at-bats" at that point.

Yeah I even said to wife "make sure you watch because Ernie loves to swing at the 1st pitch"

It’s weird to say this but too bad santander isn’t available to pinch hit in these late game situations ( especially as a switch hitter).

Personally I don't think they should walk Ohtani, unless he's hitting. Today it didn't pay off and the Dodgers scored because of it.

They almost gave the Jays the championship by pulling him away too soon. He must have 30 to 40 pitches in him fo tomorrow.

They took a huge risk to pull him after 6 and it almost backfired by costing them their season

But it didn’t, we blew it and now they’ve got a huge pitching advantage for game 7

Meh, we'll see. Team meant for the movies. Go Jays!

Max might only face Ohtani 1 time.

Who knows

Scherzer being the starter and winning his last World Series before retiring would be such a satisfying ending. For baseball fans in general. Dodgers can have next year’s World Series, I don’t care. Just give this one to Mad Max!

I'm only concerned about him not serving up meatballs and get into trouble...as we saw today and Gausman's last start, things can spiral very quickly..we don't need this from max, as he has had many of those types at the end of season..I'm more concerned about long term bluejays winning like vlad,bo,gausman, bassit,kirk..max is at the bottom of the list..

Please play varsho behind barger and Kirk. Need bats to drive in early runs; can’t have rally killers for game 7.

The worst part is that in game 7s teams use multiple starters and that again is advantage Dodgers.

The Jays michf face Yamamoto for an inning or two tomorrow.

Game 7 is scary. The Dodgers won't use a single reliever. It will be Ohtani, Snell, Sasaki, and maybe Glasnow as well. The Jays have a 41 year old Scherzer.

It’s gonna be Shohei, Snell, Glasnow and Yamamoto

You think they’re trusting Sasaki again after that display over those 4?

Jays are gonna use Gausman for an inning tomorrow too, he still had bullets left today when they pulled him too

He’s not playing tomorrow. It’s probably going to be Scherzer starting with Bieber, Yesavage and Bassitt in the bullpen.

It’s a guarantee that Gausman is available and will pitch if necessary

Maybe the best it had been so far and I’ve been to all of them. Obviously it didn’t have the heights of some our wins but the energy was still there in the building even with the deficit which hasn’t been the case in other games.

The crowd also wasn’t as nervous as, say, game 7 of the ALCS but I expect that to be the case tomorrow for sure

Now I’m probably gonna end up burning by a hole in my pocket to get in again tomorrow, so it goes

Also seemed to me like Sasaki was rattled by the crowd/environment, Yoshi was unfazed though.

Gotta hope it bothers Shohei (unlikely), Snell and Glasnow (more likely) now
