Looking forward to seeing Palacios in regular season action.

I'm sure Zeuch is not at all offended by not starting the game. LOL.

At the rate our guys are dropping, we'll be fielding the Dunedin team within a month. It would only be fitting given we're starting the season in Dunedin :)

Anthony Rendon increasingly looks like a roadie for The Flaming Lips.

Must win today, can't have a 4 game losing streak to start the season off.

GO JAYS GO! :P! :)! :D!

Zoick needs the infield played at 20 foot depth for him.

With every game that passes, it becomes increasingly clear that we signed Semien to be a SS this year, not a 2B.

The Jays are aware they don’t have to go through the Bo Bichette experience at SS for another year right?

That is potentially a game ending play if Shohei gets a hit here.

Going to be a long night tonight fellas!

Management needs to do something about this pitching.

Man, that was impressive from Ohtani. That was a good pitch.

Where's Ryan Goins when you need him?

Bichette is going to have to hit like Babe Ruth to offset all the runs he's giving up on the defensive side.

The fielding errors are killing us too.

I feel like they know Bo is not a shortstop. Went after Lindor, and signed a shortstop when they couldnt get him.

I dont know why they didnt get him to switch this year. Its clear they dont believe in him at shortstop, and now its costing the team runs when they're trying to be competitive.

Really odd decision.

And it was almost certainly a game ending play. Defense continues to be this team’s main issue.

The easiest bit about teaching a shortstop to shortstop is to get them to stop making dumb mistakes.

Bichette has the range, and has the arm strength, and the only issue is that he makes a lot of dumb mistakes.

I'm fine with playing him at shortstop. There's the possibility that he won't refine his game, but the odds favour it.

This Angels team is stacked. Going to be hard getting them out for any pitcher this season.

I don’t get it either. It’s probably about building confidence in him or some nonsense like that, but you shouldn’t be signing George Springer unless the primary goal is win games this year.

There’s not a chance in hell Bichette is playing shortstop for this team next year. Probably very little chance he ends up completing the season there either given Semien’s presence too.

Make the move now and save the team from the “dumb mistakes.”

Agreed. It’s the same thing with the Vladdy complaints. It’s not a lack of ability.

As always, you're free to believe what you want to believe. He graded out as an average SS over 2019-2020 despite the errors; that's reason enough to keep him at the position, because you're far better off starting with someone who gets to balls and trying to refine their technique than someone who doesn't get there at all.

If the team cares about winning games this year, they should play the guy who graded out in those same years as a significantly above average defensive SS. Seems simple enough to me.
