Not sure why you using Yariel leading by 8 runs? Why not use Fluharty instead?

I’m assuming we literally have no other RP even available. Still a strange one.

So Rodriguez has been backed into throwing a 40 pitch inning if necessary?

They also already warmed Yariel earlier and this team seems to have a thing about wanting to use guys they already warmed up (particularly him). We are probably the only team in baseball that would use our highest leverage RP in this spot though.

What a game though. Statement win. Need to win at least one more this series to gain any ground on the Yankees though.

Vlad and Kurt 0-9 and we still blow out the Yankees?? I think i've seen it all!

Springer with his best game as a Blue Jay!

Gimenez is playing better. The team seems to be gelling now.

Springer looking like 2019 George Springer. It has to be his best game ever as a Blue Jay. Great to win a decisive victory against the Yankees today, especially with the bad outcomes on Canada Day over the years. Happy Canada Day to everyone!

Shi Davidi said he experienced some forearm tightness after his thumb began to fatigue during his start against the Yankees on Thursday. For now, Scherzer seems on track to make his next turn through the rotation this weekend versus the Angels.

During the broadcast the announcing team mentioned that they saw Ryan Burr hanging around the clubhouse, but he wasn't officially called up.... apparently he was a backup plan for someone that was a bit banged up but no specific player was mentioned.

My guess is the player that was banged up was Mason Fluharty, and they are trying to assess if he his hurt for more than a few days before placing him on the IL.

I was cursing the radio when Schneider made that call. I just can't comprehend the level of stupidity there. Was he trying to let the Yankees win this one?

So happy for Springer that he's finding success again. What a day for a big game.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Hit one of the best starters in the game hard, and of the best relievers in the game hard. We have a pretty balanced offence right now without many holes at the plate. None of them great or really good hitters, but not many performing far below that 100 level (OPS+ or WRC+) in the past little while.
