Unless we're up 3-0, there's no reason to roll out the Max/Bass combo ON THE ROAD.

Bullpen game in game 4 and then Max/Bass at home for game 5.

Game 5 is in Seattle.

Also, Gausman would be pitching game 5, it’s on Friday

Ah right. I'd still go with the same arrangement as the Yanks series - Guas, Trey, Biebs, Bullpen day - for games 1-4.

Bass has a good record at T-mobile park. It’s pitcher friendly so might be okay . Maybe a bullpen game with Bass starting at 3 innings and see how it goes.Give Lauer and Max 3 innings too if the game is under control

Yeah I see them going another bullpen using bass / sherz to eat up a few innings. The only starters they trust are Gaus Yasavage Bieber. Bieber has to come through hopefully

The Jays are also lucky that in the 8th with the bases loaded, Austin Wells swung at the first pitch that was going to be a ball, which resulted in Coughman to escape that inning.

His control is not Closer material, and has not been since the middle of August. I can understand using Coughman in that scenario, because Schneider really had nobody else to turn to in that bullpen game. However, I would definitely go with guys like Dominguez and Fisher in the 9th to get three outs over Coughman right now in a close game.

Except he did have other options. He purposely sent Gausman and yesavage to the bullpen. It seemed like a no brainer to me to have yesavage at least warming up in case coughman was struggling. It made efen more sense to use yesavage as the closer instead of coughman. Again it’s the playoffs and anything goes. Nope the logic is they’re still trusting coughman to close the games out which to me is insanity

This FO would rather lose the WS than admit that their prized off-season signing sucks.

Mariners went from a relatively small Nintendo patch to a giant Switch 2 patch.
