Barger is a low IQ player. This loss is more on Schneider's lineup management.

I hate Rogers but I can assure you they're devastated we didn't win last night. An extra 15-20 million is the equivalent to throwing a deck chair off the Titanic to them.Cyrus wrote:Rogers happy with a game 7 gate!

One quick swing against a reeling team and a bad baserunning error does not equal a team that deserves to lose.Ranger One wrote:Historic choke job. Dodgers have been trash this entire series. Jays literally beating themselves ALL series long. So many missed opportunities. Dodgers only scored in ONE inning and we outhit them 8 to 4. This is an even more devastating loss than that 18 inning game. Hope they get blown out 20 to 1 tomorrow with how much bad karma theyve sown this series. Teams who beat themselves dont deserve a World Series.
I mean I'm now almost convinced we will lose because of my own personal life having gone so horribly lately but when we look back at this series in totality we were easily the better team.
Maybe last night's 9th inning implosion is just how it had to be?

The 18 inning game and this game were winnable and its a shame if losing both is what costs them.
But we have seen this team be so resilient thru the entire year and post season. Just need that to happen 1 more time.

At this point the series is a tossup and losing to the dodgers wouldnt be a colossal failure. I believe if jays make a few adjustements this off season then this team will be back in the playoffs no doubt

Even if that ball dropped in barger would not have scored on that ball. Huge error on his part

Scherzer scares me huge pitching advantage for the dodgers. We have our worst stater in the clinching game. It was a great season for the jays.
I have a feeling that Barger base running error was the turning point.

The loss doesn't come down to Bargers mistake. Without his hit you don't advance runners. But man i sure would have loved to see Springer with a chance to walk off in a world series like Joe Carter. Anyways such is sports and no one is perfect. The game loss still comes down to our top of line up not getting anything significant against Yamamoto. Tomorrows a new game and all these need to be forgotten.

That Barger error will be the defining moment that cost us the series

I slept maybe even worse than I did the 18 inning game. Partially from Halloween candy. Partially from other substances that keep me up.
Mind just anxious and restless all night. Every time I’d relax and drift off briefly my subconscious would go back to game 7 and keep me awake.
Feel like a zombie this morning and have things to do.
Elite pitching always wins in the end. Our run was inspired but we just don’t have the arms to out throw these guys over 9 innings today and that’s what hurts most.
If our bats aren’t absolutely on fire we’re done.

You have posted that the season is over numerous times since the beginning of September.
Stop acting like a child.

No. I'm implying Gimenez shouldn't have hit with runners on multiple times. I'm implying Varsho shouldn't have batted 5th.
We lost because we let scrubs bat in high leverage situations. 1 run on 8 hits is on the manager.

Just dropped another significant happy hedge bet heading into tonight, carrying forward last night’s winnings. If the Jays lose I can go on a decent vacation to reduce the pain. If they win the World Series instead it’s no different than if I’d paid a decent chunk to be at last night’s game.

That "lodged ball" in the 9th is going to be a curse if the Jays don't win it.
That **** was playable.

Gimmy has been money with RISP. Ty France, Schneider were options, viable though?
only thing I would have changed from last night's lineup was - Varsho and Barger should have switched places based on everything we've seen so far in the playoffs. Varsho killed momentum 2x in the game. GIDP and strikeout in key moments.
we don't know what the results would be (if we switched up Barger and Varsho in the lineup) but we can all imagine it might have been better then than the results in the bottom of the 8th and 9th, I suppose
