If Detroit wins, it won't go 7 games..skubal is pitching and won't be available first 2 games..if satander can hit at .250 clipwith power, would be huge. Also, need kirk to get hot again

I definitely think Detroit is the better matchup for us...

But Seattle I think Is a better atmosphere. Even though both are border cities and will be full of Jays fans, it just feels different in Seattle. That's a much harder team to beat with better starting pitching though

Gotta be pulling for Detroit especially with Skubal going in game 5... Seattle will be harder but a fun series to watch.

When he's locked in, it's really something.

Skubal would pitch on regular rest next Wednesday (game 3) and the following Monday (game 7) presumably.

I think we're still rooting for Detroit given Seattle's overall talent level (particularly on the pitching side) but I said the same about Boston and playing the clearly more talented Yankees worked out fine.

Yeah, looks like Wednesday would be the Skubal start if Detroit was to advance. I thought Red Sox would give Jays a harder time than the Yankees; matchup-wise, Yanks didn't match up well.

Seattle is a dangerous matchup for anyone. Good starting pitching, elite back end of the bullpen and just enough power/hitting to get by even though they're streaky on that front.

I'd like to congratulate John Schneider and his bench crew. Back in May, a lot of fans wanted him fired. He's grown a lot as a manager.

I too would like to congratulate John Schneider. He was exceptional last night.

Can't both teams just restrict tickets to their respective states like the Yankees did?

The new hitting coaches made a huge difference. HUGE! Not smoke and mirrors.

It's why some of us were calling for Martinez to be fired years ago, while others argued that baseball hitting coaches don't have any impact on outcomes.

Why not just leave him out and then have IKF get a mysterious injury, so we have the roster spot in case Bo isn't back? If Bo is ready mid-series, I'm okay not having IKF available for the WS.

My bet is that if Bo is on the roster, it's gonna be as a DH alone. He hasn't started running the bases yet, let alone fielding.

Pretty good chance IKF is on the roster regardless of what the Bo decision is, I think.
