Terrible call by the ump.

But that's on the first base coach. He has one job. Why was he just standing there watch all that happen?

Just use AI robot umps. There's no need for human umps anymore.

Varsho and Davis always get hosed on that high fastball.

I'm still a little confused by Varsho's reaction.

At first he took off for first (makes sense it was clearly a ball). Then he stopped for a second... and then went again, which triggered Bo's move towards second. I heard the ump say strike (I think that is what he said anyway) , so not sure why Varsho started off to first again.

Of course the initial blame goes to the ump for the terrible call.

People blaming that on the Ump are delusional. This is the world series, you cant be making braindead mental mistakes like that. That was 100% on Bo. And Varsho as well for throwing the bat. That cost us 2 runs at least there.

I think Varsho saw Bo walking towards second. Blame pie.. 80% Umprire , 10%. First base coach and 5 Bo and Varsho

Umpires make terrible and slow calls in this league all the time.

That may be the first time I’ve ever seen a player just walk off the base after a called strike. Absolute idiocy.

The officiating in these playoffs have been terrible. To be honest I think on balance it’s been spread around pretty evenly, it hasn’t been noticeably against us or for us, but it’s been the worst I can remember seeing in a long time.

Not sure if I saw the same. Ump called it a strike right away. Anyone have a replay?

Don't get me wrong that was a bad call by the ump.

I think because he saw Bo walking. Otherwise he’d seen the initial strike call
