Who could this be? Lmaooooo

Money is on Naylor

Naylor is a beast. Seemed like he got a hit every time up. I'd love to see him on the Jays one day.

I would too, but he's not replacing Vladdy.

I was too afraid to watch it live.

If you watch the replay when Hoffman was leaving the bullpen a lady fan was yelling at Hoffman " let's **** go Jeff you can do this " you can read her lips clearly. So cool

is Bo full recovered and have his full range or does he take 2nd, for example.

Perfect opportunity to put Bo at 2nd,since thats where he should have always been.No way he should be at short with his knee/shin.

Not sure I want Bo learning to play 2nd in the WS. Put him at DH. George can play LF. His knee will be much improved by then.

That doesn't matter when Brewers were 6-0 vs Dodgers overall and still got embarrassed. We are facing the GOAT with a stacked team

Schneider swings through the high fastballs and the Mariners love to throw that ****, so I guess the team didn't feel comfortable with him taking those at-bats.

I felt bad for both Vlad on that 113 ev and Barger on that double play.

Both of those hits were just, bad luck two feet higher or two feet to the left and we would have added several more runs
Baseball is crazy
That Vlady one would have cause havoc right after the Springer homer
We got to Munoz and Barger crushed it
Crazy how things could have changed with one extra or two extra runs
I know my heart could have used an extra run or two lol

Somebody on bsky slowed down the Naylor Double-Play breakup jump, and set it to Ave Maria.

As someone who’s watched the majority of dodgers games this season…

Some notes:

- I expect Ohtani to have a big series. We don’t have the LHP to offer him any trouble (Little, Flu, Lauer - RIP)

- Dodgers bullpen sucks but they’ve stepped it up in the post-season

- Their starting rotation is absolutely filthy. But we’ve been doing very well against star pitchers this post-season

- Dodgers ain’t the Mariners. If we lose games 1 and 2 again, it’s over. Zero chance of a comeback.

Add the Dodgers offense here too.

They're a different type of beast.

Ohtani, Betts, Smith, Freeman, Teo, Muncy - that's going to be a challenge for our starters. Pages is their 9th hitter and has got some pop.

I wonder how the Seattle fans feel losing to an injured Blue Jays, when Seattle peaked!

Cool, we're playing with house money then.

Something about this Jays team tells me they're not going to lie down and get blown out.

Series is ending in 4 or 5. At least we made it this far, Toronto! We denied Seattle another year from the World Series, that's alright, you did good Jays.

I was going to bump the post from the game six tread where some poster claimed that t game six proved that the Jays intended role for Jeff Hoffman moving forward was as a low leverage reliever.

I guess tonight prove that was wrong and not that it wasn’t clearly wrong when it was posted.

Yes, we're not favored. I am concerned about our pitching getting rocked by them. But if you're a baseball fan you know that playoffs can be a crapshoot and declaring outcomes in absolutes is a fool's errand when it comes to baseball.

On paper, the Kansas City Royals should not have beaten the Blue Jays in 2015 (which was considered the most stacked team in the league that year). But our bats got cold and they kept hitting and that was all she wrote.

Baseball players aren't like basketball players where they put up the same stats nearly every game and slumps rarely last more than 2-3 games for stars. In baseball, slumps can randomly happen for weeks. If the Dodgers consistently played up to their talent every single day they'd have won 150 games this year instead of 93.

The fact is, the Jays may not even be more talented than the Yankees and even Mariners. One could argue we "should have" lost to them considering our on-paper talent vs theirs. But our bats got hot in the playoffs and our pitching held on just enough that now we're here.

We're just going to have to hope their bats slump at the right time and ours keeps rolling, 2015 KC style.

that was like the Bautista Homer. I know it was only a 1 run game at that point but it was the momentum changer. Seattle was demoralized after that.

Reminds me of Yordan vs Phillies...good times.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

No, the Jays are better than the Yankees. There's more to it, than on-paper.

Yes, it was a chokejob in 2015. Yes, that can happen. But I'm very confident (assuming they adjust well to the best defense itl, and don't choke it away), that we will lose to a better team. Sure, choking happens, and more often in baseball. But there's more to it than on-paper.

Yes, and did you know there is something that's called coasting (not trying or putting effort consistently), and that's probably what they were doing (as they got 1st in their division). In the playoffs, they fried. Coasting always happens in sports, when people feel they don't need to put effort in.

There are a lot of factors, and that makes it not a definitive opinion. But there is enough evidence, for me to assume Dodgers will clearly or comfortably take the series. It's not a fact that will happen

It's just the more likely option. Got it?

Putting Bo at second base in the world series is insanity.
If you need to put Bo in the lineup, its Springer in the OF .. its a no brainer. Springer despite being banged up would have much more mobility.

im perfectly fine putting springer in right field

how much action will he get there running for balls? its not so bad

Bo won't start games to start but they will pinch hit him to see how he is first

Ticketmaster is such trash. 5200 in the queue and nothing for game 1. How is that possible?

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
