The only weakness for the Dodgers, is the only thing the Jays have over the Dodgers. It's that bullpen, but the starting pitchers have great durability, enough to shut-down the Jays for 6/7 innings (get it?). Dudes like Kevin Guasman (arguably our best pitcher), has 4 straight seasons over 6.00 ERA in the playoffs. The offense will overpower the Jays pitchers, and the ATG defense of Blue Jays isn't enough.

A huge point is we got pushed to 7, by a much much weaker Mariners team. What do you think the superteam juggernaut Dodgers will look like? Dodgers are clearly winning this in 4/5.

Good job Jays, hopefully (3% IMO) you win the WS. If you do even make it to 6 games, it's very surprising. This is like the 2017 Warriors vs a worse version of 2025 OKC (maybe 2024 MIN). But who knows, because even the Raptors beat 2019 Warriors, so this may happen too!

We get it bro, you think they're going to lose. You've made it clear.

Why do you guys hate me for repeating what others have said

Because you keep repeating what YOU have said. We get it. You don't need to repeat it anymore.

Let people enjoy this unexpected WS run

No one thought the Jays would even ge a playoff team after their awful start.

No one thought the Jays would win the division

No one thought the Jays would win the AL race

No one thought the Jays would beat the big bad Yankees

No one thought the Jays would beat the Mariners after going down 2-0

And now no one thinks the Jays will beat the Dodgers.

And by no one, I mean everyone EXCEPT those guys playing the games as well as the coaches, and a bunch of delusional optimistic fans.

Reality is, the Jays are not favored to win. We know this. People expect the Jays to get smoked. But the games still have to be played and anything can happen. And if THIS YEARS JAYS have shown people anything, it's expect the unexpected.

Enjoy the ride, it doesn't come around often.

Mariner could easily had man on 1st and Big Dumper hitting at the plate
Julio took a bad swing at that Hoffman 3-2 offering that way off the plate to lose it

Dodgers hitters have more plate discipline
Remember that game Jays vs Dodgers this season when Hoffman was brought in to end the game and he walked the batters he faced and Fluharty had to come for Hoffman get Ohtani and Betts out to mop up ?
Dont get me wrong lovin Hoffman, better than Tim Mayza, but Dodger hitters are going to be tougher

He did lose his release point on the first 2 balls but Julio has a 10th percentile chase rate. I actually agree with only throwing him splitters and sliders (especially since Hoffmans 4 seam is the pitch that has given him the most trouble with the long ball). It was a risky strategy with Cal up but the psychology of "they dont want to face Cal so ill get a fastball at some point" is exactly what Hoffman/Kirk exploited especially since the last thing Julio wanted to do was have his season end looking at a pitch in the zone. Hoffmans slider is pretty damn good too and he does get quite a bit of chase on it.

Repetition ad nauseum doesn't make things true. Half of your posts by now must be variations of this.

Nothing is ever 'clear' in baseball, especially not playoff baseball. Worse teams beat better teams ALL THE TIME. There's no guarantee this goes in five or less. Stop pretending there is.

Why did we go to 7 vs Mariners, and Dodgers swept Milwaukee. Most likely, Dodgers take this series.

Also how come I get so much hate for saying the same thing others have said, but others get less hate.

SIGH.

A seven game series can go in so many ways, regardless of the quality of the teams.

Also, this is the fifth time that one LCS went to 7 games, and the other LCS was a sweep.

Wanna guess the results of those other four World Serieses?

He's just a bitchy little troll.

Consider what the consistent thing is then. Maybe reflect on that, rather than posting the same thing over and over and over.

You've made your point about the series. Either add something meaningful to the discussion or wait for the game. But stop repeating the same thing over and over and disrupting the discussion.

No need to prepare for heartbreak in this series compared to the 1st 2. Everyone will be happy regardless of what happens and right now we're playing with house money stress-free against a superteam who are about to cause a 2027 lockout. All the pressure on the Dodgers to not choke against a team no one had winning the division or even making the playoffs. I prepared for heartbreak the 1st 2 series by saying yankees and mariners in 4/5 hoping for a reverse jinx and that was it

Most people don't even care about winning or losing.

Having the opportunity to watch the World Series in Toronto vs some historically great baseball players is a win already.

I do... kinda care. I know Toronto is a deep underdog on paper, and this has already been a wildly successful season but do kinda like that the Jays are undefeated in World Series...series. Would be sort of annoying from a historical numbers perspective to see 2-1 as our World Series record after this.

I was talking about bandwagon hoppers - it's crazy to me who has followed the Jays since the late 90s to see long time friends/acquitances I know, outwardly show their support of the Jays - and I never even knew they liked baseball.

If you need to put Bo in the lineup, its Springer in the OF .. its a no brainer. Springer despite being banged up would have much more mobility.

That remains to be seen, but it is probably the best option.2nd is an easier position than SS for Bo.Just wish they had put him there to start, especially after his throwing errors, and Springer has been on fire because he doesn,t have to worry about playing in the field anymore, and dont wanna mess with that right now,but not much choice.
Beat LA

I'd also rather lose IKF's bat than Barger or Lukes's bats.

Ultimately though, it all comes down to ability. If Bo is able to play in the field then obviously that's a better situation. But if he can't, then he can't and you need to figure out a plan B. And nobody posting here has any idea if he's able to or not.

Barger plays 3rd. No need to keep IKF in the lineup.

Springer LF
Lukes RF
Vlad 1B
Bo DH
Barger 3B
Kirk C
Varsho CF
Clement 2B
Giminez SS

Late game with lead you put in Straw for Springer in LF, move Clement to 3B and put IKF at 2B.

Schneider in his media presser, sounding very confident seeing video of Bo warming up at 2nd ,and saying he looks very comfortable at 2nd lol.Not having any idea how hurt Bo really is has made this decision more frustrating for fans etc,but if he can play 2nd,its a much better position than SS.Should have never been the SS.Springer would still be able to remain DH. Bo playing SS all season, and having too many bad throws as a SS,means he should be able to handle 2b easier, with way less movement, and easier throws.Jays could also be just throwing it out there warming Bo at 2nd.

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
