It’s funny watching highlights of old pitchers. Seeing them get calls on pitches like a foot off the plate. Looks so ridiculous compared to today’s strike zone.

While Montoyo is, in general, really bad: having Davis run while asking Palacios to bunt down the 3B line was a clever risk-reward play.

I think they ruled Davis’ slide was clean, and Iglesias was off the base when he caught the ball.

Both managers challenged: Angels challenged the slide, Jays challenged the put-out. So they reviewed the slide first, deemed it fine, and then reviewed the put-out and concluded that Iglesias was off the bag. Don't know that I've ever seen that before.
