Best game of Kirk's career probably just a monster performance.

Kirk trying to prove he can hit like Heineman.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Gotta give clase the credit to tie it against a guy throwing 100…

True, he can stay on HR jacket and ice duty as Vlad’s deputy when Varsho returns

Even when they win you’d still owe have to make a snarky comment directed at vlad.

How is that a snarky comment directed at Vlad? Is he not in charge of the jacket and the ice when he’s not hitting 100 mph grounders?

Clase’s primary contribution to this team thus far (until tonight) has been assisting him with that.

I don’t even care about vlad, but why not even give credit to clase. If not for his clutch game tying home run we lose this one…

Great game. Overmanaged bullpen by Schneider (again) nearly costs us the game (again) but the boys pulled through and made it work

I think I'm... actually starting to get excited for our chances this season? Is this real life?

Something needs to be done about the starting pitching though. We need a legitimate 4th starter at the minimum. The offense is bound to have some low periods where the pitching will need to carry us. That might be tough with our current starting group.

They definitely should acquire another Starting Pitcher (4th/5th Starter). Other then moving Yariel Rodriguez to the Rotation, this organization should look externally to fill that need. This team has more than enough Outfielders right now. With Varsho and Santander coming back eventually, guys like Clase, Roden, Loperfido, and Davis Schneider will be back in Buffalo or stapled to the bench.

These four guys would still be attractive to rebuilding teams like Colorado, Miami, Oakland, or Chicago. No reason why you cannot package two of those guys with another high ceiling lower tier prospect or two to get a decent 4th/5th Starter. Every Bowden Francis start is overworking an already tired bullpen, and that is not counting this team's Bullpen Game every 5th day as well since this team does not have a legitimate 5th Starter.
