3 of the best LHBs in baseball are on the Dodgers
One flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest.

Bichette for Loperfido isn’t a surprise at all, I wouldn’t trust Loperfido to play in these games either.

The interesting one is France for Yariel. Not clear yet if Vesia will play at all in this series but they do have a few LH arms out of the pen.

I think the thinking is that France has a better chance against elite pitching than other guys who have better stats than him.

Ortiz has been saying this non-stop during his broadcasts: alot of good batters in regular season figured out how to beat up mediocre pitchers to get their numbers. The best measure of a playoff performer is to look at his stats against pitchers in the 90th percentile and above. Apparently France is better than his stats (relatively speaking) against elite pitching.

It's a really interesting point. I've always been mystified as to why the Jays bats went so cold in the 2015 and 2016 ALCS's, especially in 2016 after sweeping the hated Rangers.

Papi's such an entertaining and insightful guy. Always glad to see Dominicans get to publicly talk about the sport they dominate.
