And this is why Clement should be batting after Kirk. Varsho is incapable of making contact, which is supposed to be our entire identity. Clement easily brings in 2 runs there with a single.

Snell isn’t fooling anybody so far. Hopefully they can keep working him. Springer and Schneider should have been more patient swinging at high balls.

Disappointing to not even get a single run out of that inning. On the plus side, we made Snell work after a couple of quick outs. Another taxing inning similar to the 1st and we’ll be into the bullpen in no time.

I’ve rarely been critical of Schneider but the fact that varsho is still this high up and clement that far down after their respective postseasons makes no sense especially with a lefty on the mound.
