Renfroe to the Angels for Junk.
Feels like a straight salary dump for the Brewers?

Yankees-Mets collusion charges in Judge-deGrom cases don’t hold water - New York Post
Eight teams are said to be pursuing superstar shortstop Carlos Correa, but the Twins are expected to go hard to keep their star.
Cody Bellinger has interest from 11 teams following the Dodgers’ decision to nontender him (he was expected to get $19 million in arbitration). The Astros, Cubs and Giants are among the teams in play.
Bellinger will seek a one-year deal to reset his value.
The Giants would like to bring back left-hander Carlos Rodon. The Dodgers, Rangers and Yankees are also in there. The Giants, Rays and Blue Jays are among many teams in on Brandon Nimmo, plus the Mets, of course.

so nothing yet eh?

Really haven't been any significant signings, by anyone. Teams and agents don't seem to do the orgy of nine-figure deals on the first day of FA anymore. Jose Abreu's 3 years, $60m is the most significant non-extension after two weeks, heh.

**** your asterisk.

Re: Around the MLB
Eflin's a very Rays-y player. ERA is middling but his advanced metrics are very good (likely because the Phillies' defense is absolute garbage and he get a lot of grounders).
He also features what I'm noticing appears to be a hallmark of the Rays' pitching targets: he has a pitch that grades out extremely well that he isn't using that much. Eflin leaned heavily on his sinker while throwing his 4-seamer sparingly over the past couple years, but the 4-seamer has gotten the better results. Using the sinker has resulted in very good EV suppression, but I'm guessing that they're going to try to up his 4-seam/curveball usage in order to get some more Ks, particularly as he demonstrated the ability to do prior to going 2-seam heavy.

DeGrom to the Rangers on a five-year deal. This concludes the Rangers' strategy of signing a handful of megadeals and then surrounding them with players sourced from Craigslist ads, which worked to the tune of 68 wins last year.
