I think he’s a colour commentator with the Tigers now. Not sure why he’d throw out the first pitch, tho.

His arm isn't the strongest but his feet and hand transfer make up for it.

I mean, he isn't wrong. Based on results to date, we can expect Jansen to play 162 games and throw out 486 of 486 runners. Sadly, that will be overshadowed by the fact that both ourselves and our opponents will go 0 for the season, resulting in the team never actually finishing a single game.

For comparisons sake, Martin's first full season was valued at 2.6 fwar for the Dodgers, and steamer projects Jansen's to be 2.9.

edit: make that 2.4 for Martin.
