Guerrero on fire even his grounders are doubles

Love watching this version of Guerrero.

Yep! With his sub-.700 OPS he sure is the MVP.

Yes, that’s what a league average hitter who plays generationally good defense in CF is. Those 3 hits and a HR tonight will irritate a great many, I’m sure.

I’d assume Vladdy hitting like Ted Williams would eventually take the team war lead by the end of the year, no?

Jays scored 9 runs .. but only 3 players on the team got any hits. Wonder if that has happened before.

Vladdy up 1.1 in fangraphs WAR and up 0.1 in bref WAR.
No doubt he is our MVP.

Sell high. lol.
You don't sell high on a player like Vladdy. You build around him. Back up the Brink truck and give this guy what he wants!
You can trade Bo and sell high on him in the off-season.

pay that man. i'm guessing they'll wait till alonso gets his deal and then see what's up. But he's making like 20 mil right now and will get an even bigger jump in arb once again. but even if you increase that to 30-35 per, that's like nothing considering the overall value he brings to the organisation. no need to overthink things. figure out a deal and get it done in the off-season.
but we'll see what rogers does.

They aren’t giving a 1B who hit grounders for 2+ years 400M (and that will surely be his ask if he keeps hitting like prime Barry Bonds for any longer)

If you have an better way of describing why he was simply an above average (and decidedly not elite) hitter in 2022 (133 wRC+) and 2023 (119 wRC+), I'd love to hear it. The exit velos have been there the entire time; the results were not.

Probably also worth noting that George Springer has sneakily gone back to his atrocious April/May form over the last month as Vlad has gone on this run. It's a silly plan as it is, but I really have no idea how the Jays plan to contend in 2025 if they're running that guy out regularly in RF.

Vlad on absolute fire but can't beat advanced stats MVP Varsho. Doesn't matter if he hits .330 with 35 homers either. /s
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

No doubt he is our MVP.
So Vladdy is actually up in WAR at this point.

He is clearly trolling the people on here who continue to try to pretend like Varsho is a bench player (because gAbRiel mORenO!). Hopefully you aren't one of those clowns.
Varsho is now up to 98 wRC+ (so basically league-average hitting for his position) with elite defense and above-average baserunning.
If you go by Statcast run values:
Vlad: +36 batting, -3 baserunning, -8 fielding = +25 total runs
Varsho: +2 batting, +1 baserunning, +15 fielding = +18 total runs
Its a lot closer than people would probably assume.
