Good to see us rake a bit last night.

5 runs is good, 5 home runs even better

I’d fire them tonight and get Santander in there myself if I’m Ed.

Fwiw guys on the Fan today were saying Kirby's a fastball pitcher so the aggressive first pitch approach worked. Castillo has one of the best changeups so maybe going back to working longer counts will be the way. I don't know, just saying what I heard

IKF should never be starting a playoff game, but starting him tonight at least makes some sense. Using him against LHP when he sucks against them was a joke. At least he hits better against RHP and has a good small sample history against Castillo. They should have started Davis regardless, but this one is more defensible than starting IKF against Fried or a lefty in general.

Either way, picking up IKF off waivers was low (or high?) key the worst move of the deadline.

IKF starting? What a joke. You start Schneider and then maybe bring IKF in for late inning defense, even though his only defensive contribution is booting a routine grounder.

I don't think it was a bad move necessarily. No IKF we have somebody like Leo Jimenez on the roster post Bo Injury. Its just that we are using him more than what his role should be.

Take tonight for example. IKF would be fine as a backup IF for tonight as he can play all 3 positions very competently if needed. But Schneider should be starting.

Bo is on the field doing running drills. I’m not saying it but you’re thinking it.

This would make Santander ineligible for the World Series if we make it.

They called up Loperfido so it won't be this series unless its another injury.

But its good to see he hasn't given up on the season just yet in case we somehow make it to the World Series.

Disaster. This team is completely and fully cooked if IKF is gonna be starting games the rest of the way.

My bad, I thought there was a link about Loperfido being called up above and I was working off that.
So please disregard my post.

It will depend on how he does but if he has an 0fer today Loper will start next game, heck Loper could even get in this game.

Appears that it is indeed Loperfido. But it seems that it is not 100% going to be approved by tonight as there is a review process.
