Rios getting high marks for his swing. They're right, it's smooth like butter.

I was surprised he entered the derby but damn is he smoking in the second round... and he was excellent in the first, too...

I mean, he out-blasted Ryan Howard somehow, which is insane.

Man, Rios is having a day...

Damn Vlady is a monster!

I'd love a Vlady/Rios final...

Wow, I like Rios' chances, it does not seem like he is getting tired. We all know the dude can hit, but I didn't think he stood a chance in the derby.

Rios > Chuck Norris

I've been saying it for years.

Go Rios...

I love how just 2 years ago he couldn't hit a thing past 300 ft. Now he's gonna kick Vladdy's ass in the finals. :D

Ah well, he made it to the Finals.

Who would have thought of Rios as the dominant power performer in a Derby with Pujols, Fielder and Howard?

Well no one forced him to swing

The fact is, he has power, no doubt. But he is not a pure home run hitter, and not as powerful as those.

I'm happy he made it as far as he did, especially considering how no one even thought he'd even make it out of the first round.

Hopefully this puts him on a roll for the second half.

oh and who else thought this thing dragged on for way too long? 3 hours, with an enormous amount of commercial breaks in between. Too much filler IMO.

So close, lost by one HR. Trade Wells and lock Rios up for a decade...
