Random fact: Mitch White was drafted 65th overall in 2016. 64th overall? Pete Alonso. 66th overall? Bo Bichette. In fairness, they were trying to save money for a bunch of guys who have been rather good, but no one wants to be the meat in an All-Star sandwich.

**** your asterisk.

heard he was running out of options and he didnt have a permanent role on their staff. I think similar to why they traded Stripling to the Jays. White should have a permanent spot for the rest of the season since Strip is injured and when he's back he'll either be starter or long-man.
White should be replacing one of Berrios or Kikuchi in the rotation. I don't care how much we're paying those bums. I care about winning, and White gives us a better shot at that.

Berrios struggled yesterday, but he has pitched much better this past month, and had good Starts in his previous 5 outings before yesterday. I would replace White with Kikuchi, when Stripling is ready to return to the rotation. Kikuchi would be best coming out of the Bullpen in low leverage situations, especially Blowouts for the next few weeks.
Kikuchi gives you 3-4 innings every start, and taxes the Bullpen on a consistent basis. Let him pitch those 3/4 innings he gives you out of the Bullpen. Kikuchi inspires no confidence on the mound, especially when he has that Deer in Headlights look when he cannot command his pitches.

Mayza has been dreadful against RHBs this season. Not clear why he is facing them in a close game.
Looks like we will be trying to salvage a split tomorrow.

That looks season-ending. So which scrub pitcher takes his place?

Mayza down and out now. Why wasn’t Bass in the entire time?

Gage will be back up tomorrow. He’s been surprisingly fine this year.

3 games up on the Orioles for the playoffs after tonight. Dangerous times ahead next week.

Maybe don’t pinch hit Tapia again ever. He’s bad.

1 for 14 from your bottom half of the lineup. That's just not going to do it folks!
This team is flawed in so many ways. Even if we do make the playoffs this season we are getting swept by the Yankees or Astros.

Not to point a finger at one guy, but Jansen has been terrible at the plate for two weeks since that 28 Run beatdown of Boston. Hopefully, he can pick up his production like he had before he unfortunately got injured the last time. Schneider's love affair of Biggio needs to decline as well.
Some guys just play better when they get regular at bats. Santiago Espinal needs to be given the chance to play regularly over Biggio, instead of now being parked on the Bench 3 times a week. He does provide better defense than him. He might have been slumping a bit, but it is not like Biggio is setting the world on fire with a batting average of .219

How is that not interfering with Jansen's throwing path?
We got screwed on a much lesser obstruction earlier this year.

Isn't Tayler Saucedo eligible to come off the 60 day dl as well?

Yeah he’s back and also an option.

Baltimore is the best bird team in the AL East. How the **** do they keep stringing together winning streak after winning streak.
