A win is a win, but holy cow what a disaster of a manager John Schneider is.

My god, Schneider is a horrible manager. There was no need to pull Fluharty to begin with. And then every move he made after that was wrong.

Arden ripping him at least
Still can’t fathom the Fluharty pull

This is exactly how you go 37-30 and maintain a +1 run differential

Bringing him in with 1 out would have been fine... it was 50/50.
But once Green got that 2nd out on poor contact, the math to bring in Hoffman made little sense, especially since you passed on the move earlier when it made more sense.

Re: Toronto Blue Jays @ St. Louis Cardinals
If he doesn’t trust Chad Green enough to pitch with 2 outs in the 9th there (and honestly I wouldn’t either, he’s one of the worst RPs in baseball), why was he put in the 8th inning in the first place
There’s no consistent logic to any of this

Forget math, he was going by “feel”. It’s like starting Bargnani at small forward for the first time ever in the playoffs.

Well that and getting regularly blown out due to having only 3 SPs

Need Sandlin and Garcia to come back soon, so we see less of Chad "Meatball" Green in high leverage situations. His ERA does not fully reflect how horrible of a pitcher he currently is. He has been bailed out time after time by solid defensive play behind him, and gets hit hard on a regular basis.

Schneider tried his best to blow that game with his moronic moves. I just knew Hoffman was going to give up that home run

If we can't use him in a 8-4 game, I don't even see why he's on the team. Might as well eat the salary.
I would eat his salary when Sandlin and Garcia come back, but I doubt this front office has the stomach for that.

Maybe they could ask Vlad to eat his salary.

The Jays have won every game they’ve played for 2 weeks now except for the three that Bowden Francis started

I didn’t like pulling berrios either with 2 outs in the 7th. Anytime John makes a move it’s as if he has a gun to his head- - that’s because he does these moves come from the nerds upstairs.

I don’t think the nerds upstairs told him to pull Fluharty for a guy with a 6 FIP

There's no way analytics would support pulling Fluharty in that situation. Not with Green pitching like trash for a while now. Schneider outsmarted himself.
