Rest days for Jansen and Kiermaier, when you are down 3 regulars already. Lineup makes no sense starting both Espinal and Biggio. If the front office is making these calls, and Schneider is merely a puppet like some suggest- Rogers needs to clean house with the Front Office.

Its ok. We're just load managing in preparation for the playoffs. Need guys fresh and ready for when it matters the most....oh wait.

Let’s go Cavan. Save the season. I believe in you.

Team has a Day Off tomorrow. No reason why Jansen could not be DH and Kiermaier in the OF, when you are down 3 Regulars. This team has too much faith in Biggio to Start in RF, even after he has been terrible all year in that position. A joke to see Clement, Espinal, and Biggio as your bottom 3. I guess Management is load managing, so guys could be fresh and ready for the off-season.

I wonder if there are a lot of injuries that guys are playing through. Belt, for example. All we know is he sucked for two days and is suddenly unavailable. Bo is deemed fine and then we hear he's playing hurt. It seems like there have been a lot of issues and tye team is worried about getting more.

We've challenged a bunch of obvious wrong **** and one time we have our hottest hitter asking for a review and we say no. Embarrassing honestly (and he was clearly safe).

Somebody please fire John Schneider.

Schneider is an incompetent fool. The Schneider apologists will say he is merely a "puppet" and that coaches and managers do not make that much of a difference. Bad managers can easily lose games for you if they are incompetent like Schneider. Cannot believe he did not Challenge that call.

The sac fly debacle aside nice to see Kirk swing the bat well.

Nice to see the scrubs at the bottom of the order coming through for a change.

That Rangers series may as well be a playoff series. Hopefully we're only down 1.5-2.5 games by then.

Clement is far better than Espinal btw. Wasted an entire season with that joke on the roster.

As mentioned in the pre-game show there are 7 runners out of 536 that are slower than Kirk per Statcast. Watching him run I find that hard to believe (even if that is nearly in the bottom 1% percentile).

Here they are:
Rowdy Tellez
Miguel Cabrera
Martin Maldonado
Tucker Barnhart
Yasmani Grandal
Sandy Leon
Jesus Aguilar

Houston keeps rolling. Our only hope is if Texas and Seattle falter.

EDIT - AFter posting this, did realize I should be positive and say nice to get a 6-0 win.

------

I think there are certain areas or times where Schneider is overcritized (bullpen mgmt at times for example, sometimes just player execution)), even though he certainly does really deserve criticism.

That being said there are still 2 things from the prior 3 games that absolutely blow my mind more than anything else - which were either stupidly instructed by mgr/coaches, or the mgr is improperly letting his players play with no constraints or common sense.

Santiago Espinal swinging at 3-0.
And the double steal on a 3-0 count yesterday in the 9th, which I think might be the dumbest thing I have seen this year.

How can a team / staff that was stressing "fundamentals" and better baserunning before the season do **** like this.

If this team makes it into the playoffs they should build a statue of Schneider (Davis not John.) outside Rogers Centre. Guy has been unreal!

Miguel Cabrera is ancient and can barely move at all anymore, so I buy that with him. I don't remember Rowdy being anywhere near as slow as Kirk.

Davis Schneider has the best plate approach by far of anyone on the roster.
