I do not even think our manager is dumb enough to bench Davis Schneider right now. The same "Wonderful Analytics" Atkins and his sheep use to justify taking Berrios out after 3 innings in Cleveland, is no doubt in play here. Absolute disgrace to see this, after everyone was joking about this possibility last night.

No reason why one of Biggio, IKF, and KK should not be taking turns regularly to be on the bench, so Davis Schneider could be in the lineup on a regular basis. Comedy Central at its finest with this pathetic organization.

Schneider is sticking to what "works". Come hell or high water.

I just don't get why they can't give Davis a chance to hit righties. Lord knows how many chances this FO gave to Biggio/Espinal to be everyday players.

He crushed righties in Triple A with a 1.011 OPS. And he doesn't even have bad splits against them in the Majors. Not like career below average hitters like KK/IKF and Biggio would hit righties much better.

They've got their reasons, I'm sure (as ridiculous as they likely are). Something or someone is telling them this is the best lineup to win games in the aggregate against RHP, so they're sticking with it.

This FO would've platooned 2010 Jose Bautista lol

It's definitely the FO, we've had more than enough examples over the past few seasons. It's sad how so many Jays fans on other forums still believe Schneider makes all the lineup decisions here.

Oh, there's no doubt. Any analytic model at the time would have definitely told the Jays not to play him and with this FO they wouldn't have.

This front office sure makes it difficult to be a Jays fan. The analytics guys are clearly still in control of the playing time decisions. They've sapped all humanity out of the team.

Who wants to follow this team when we know that if even if they make the playoffs, the analytics guys will do stupid stuff like pulling Berrios after three innings again?

Hey front office guys, fans want to see our better players play. That means less KK and IKF, and more Schneider and Clement. Stop ruining the product.

It's obvious that the manager isn't calling the shots here. We're going by the numbers the computer spits out. That guy here last year who kept crying about 'nerds' was right lol.

Bringing in Mayza to pitch against Seattle was still not a nerd decision, it was a terrible analytic decision. That is what started all of his nerd talk.

I knew we were losing that game as soon as Mayza bounced a fastball 8 feet in front of home plate on his first pitch lol

Analytics still manage this team with Schneider not in the lineup.

Man, it sure would be nice if our top 3 hitters in the lineup could you know...actually get on base for Turner to drive them in. Absolutely pathetic at bats from Springer and Guerrero.

If being a player doesn't work out Vlad will make a great coach for ground ball practice for the shortstops

Has vladdy even tried to work on his swing in the offseason? Aaron judge was already pretty good, but then decided to rework his swing and is now unstoppable. Not sure what vlad is working on… losing weight is great and all but that has nothing to do with his plate approach and swing mechanics.
