Really hope Manoah doesn't turn into Ricky Romero 2.0

Should've been pulled after the first base hit

If we wanted a chance at still winning this, yeah. Glad the team/media can't wipe this start away now as they might have otherwise though. He's a mess right now.

Manoah's weight gain has him losing his balance and missing location full stop.. how long will it take for the Rogers' media to be even mildly critical of his conditioning affecting his performance?

Let’s put Jansen in for Kirk as Manoah’s next catcher to see if anything makes a difference.

He's always been this big, but questions do need to be asked about that given the troubles he's seemingly having with the pace of the pitch clock.

Manoah has had a relatively easy schedule besides the Cards. Royals, Tigers and the Rays aren't playing their best unit either. And he's look unplayable - meh at best during all those starts. He needs to figure it out and fast.

i hate apparently useless pick ups like Luplow. Rather than give Lukes a chance, they quickly find some kind of mediocre fringe MLBer with experience at sucking.

Not that Lukes is definitely better. But he earns a spot out of spring only to be demoted.

He has been an everyday player so far. Even those get rest days though.

2 of those 4 are likely playoff teams lol.

But I agree. He's been trash. He needs to figure his **** out. Everyone else has adjusted to the pitch clock.

I am confident Manoah will turn it around. Being humbled is never a bad thing in baseball. Manoah has talked a bit too much for my liking (whether it was cursing at Red Sox players last season in a couple of games, and a few of other situations). One of them being calling out Gerrit Cole for being the biggest cheater in MLB history in an interview this off-season, that made headlines. His response to Alex Verdugo's criticism of him earlier this month. Anyways, taking 2 out of 3 against the Rays with Berrios and Kikuchi is still a positive sign.

The underline metrics/numbers for Manoah, even last year was he was suppose to be 3.5 ERA pitcher, and viewed as more of 2nd/3rd arm, not an ace. However he preformed like an last year, a similar pitcher profile whose metrics are expect him to be worse, but he ends up pitching better, is Shane Bieber of Cleveland. He's consistently pitched better than the metrics show.

Anyways long story short, maybe we are putting too much on monoah thinking he's an ace, and it's always possibility 2nd/3rd year players will regress, and based on his first 4-5 outings, it's baring that.

Another pitcher whose number (In big games - which is subjective), who doesn't show up is Chris Bassist, just look at his last year in any pivotal games, and he gets batted around (got destroyed in the playoffs). We are going to have to hope our offense to carry the load and defense comes up big.
