Is Spencer Horwitz semi-competent in LF, even if below or well below average?

Still can't figure out why he didn't PH for Espinal a few times yesterday - move Whit to 2B and out Horwitz in LF.

Spencer Horwitz could be Adam Lind in LF and it still shouldn't matter for the purposes of answering that question at that point of the game.

Those are my thoughts as well. Even if he is bad defensively there are situations you need to go for the tie or win late in the game, and go to the weaker defence for an inning or two.

Will we ever see another 10 run game from this offense? Hell, at this point id take a 10 HIT game. We havent gotten 10 hits in a game in like two weeks.

2nd and 3rd with no out - no runs scored. Feels like we've been on the wrong side of that so many times this season.

Now let's try to actually make Pivetta pitch this inning.

Dang, our boy Davis coming down to earth. FeelsBadMan. Only good thing about him though, is that he doesnt flail at pitches 5 feet out of the zone like half this lineup. Hes still disciplined at the plate and still has a good approach.

Chapman risking the out at third with 2 outs wasn't very smart in my view - not sure if Biggio was trotting in or not.

Sigh. Ryu getting hit around early already. Hes not fooling anyone right now on the Red Sox.

Ryu not gonna go more than 4-5 innings today at this rate.

with the day off tomorrow it's time to prepare to empty the clip. ryu is flirting with danger and we're not going to escape too many more jams here.
