Moreno did not put on a show in the World Series. Gurriel did have 2 decent games though, although one of them was in the 11-7 loss when they were down huge.

This makes it, what, 4 years in a row that the Jays have had a Cy Young finalist?
That's amazing.

Well, looks like Yamamoto is a Dodger. They're really pushing all the chips in.

Great for the Jays that he didn’t go to NYY. They have nowhere else to pivot to make that kind of impact. Maybe they can even sign Chapman with that money so we don’t feel compelled to do so.

At a reported 325/12, I have such mixed feelings. These are contracts that are probably not going to end up 'worth it' in the long run, so part of me is glad the Jays are avoiding them. But the rest of me really wants us to sign somebody for a gadzillion dollars and run in those circles.

Rest of baseball should just do a draw, designate the winner the small market reps and gift them players,

I would be willing to put up with another year of Moreno discourse if the Diamondbacks got them this year. Best outcome is obviously the Jays beating them in the WS.

Don't get this from our management, if it was only 1 year deal for Teoscar, like he would been the perfect DH slash part-time outfielder, for 24 mill.
No long term commitment and can go after bigger fishes next year.
