Having the WBC come down to Ohtani vs Trout, two all-time elite players who have won sweet fk all because they are trapped in the unending hell that is the incompetence of the LA Angels (and one of the great matchups to never happen given that they're teammates), is pretty poetic.

Trout is already 31. they wasted all his valuable years for nothing. Ohtani is 28 at the moment.
I think we can throw away the "loyalty" cards for these guys and won't hold it against them if they want out.

I pretty sure Dodgers are maneuvering to offer Ohtani a MEGA deal this offseason...probably 50 mill a year easy. It curious how they didn't spend much this season, almost taking a reset, but i'm almost certain he'll be a dodger next year....or maybe Cohen spends to moon next year after not getting Carlos Carrera
