Giving some of the veterans rest days on Manoah start days isn't the worst idea. It's a throwaway game anyway.

I'd feel more confident in a comeback if biggio wasn't in the game.

Well you were pretty close on the hits and walks part.

You stick him in the minors until he looks like a passable major leaguer again. Could be next month, next year, or never again.

It's preferable to throw out random journeyman relievers like Jay Jackson at this point.

Big spot for George here. Theyre still in this if they chip away.

It's obviously disappointing what's happening with Manoah but it's also a healthy reminder to everyone how **** hard this game is.

It may be a kids game (we're all kids at heart I suppose) but that doesn't mean it ain't **** hard.

What comments did he make after his last start? I might have been out of the loop. Regardless, Manoah cannot start anymore games. Needs to be sent down to Buffalo to mentally and physically work on himself.

The guy was nearly in tears post game after the last one. Emotional and clearly full of self-doubt. It was a sign that he wasn't mentally ready to pitch at this level right now.

He needs to go down to the minors. He will not figure it out here. The team will keep losing, and he'll keep getting worse.

When you guys keep saying he can't figure it out here how do you draw that conclusion?

Oh, I don't know, the fact that he has an ERA of 6.36 after 13 stars. He hasn't shown any improvement. In fact, he's getting worse.

Have you actually watched Manoah pitch in the last month? Or cry in the dugout after his last outing? Or nearly cry in the press conference following the game?

He's a mental wreck. It is of no help for anybody (and most of all, him) for him to be in this league still.

I hope it's something healthy related with monah, or in shape issue, either way this season is lost cause. He needs to be built back up like Roy Halladay, and hopefully not like Ricky Romero. But Romero pitched injuried and then had a confidence issue.

Issue is we just don't have anyone, maybe if we stretched out Nate, but we have no one whom will be better. But at this point, it's damaging him, so even if it's Drew hutch and he gets destroyed, atleast it didn't effect our future.

I'd be shocked if he wasn't in the minors by the time his next start comes around.

Hutchison left the organization on an opt-out clause a few days ago. The team has plenty of pitchers in the minors who can pitch to a 6.5 ERA though.

Honestly feel terrible for Manoah. It's a hard game.

Might be time to try out Pearson as a starter and send Manoah down. When is Mitch White coming back?
