Does it even matter? We already paid him the 500M for no real reason.

it matters because if he wakes up we can make a legitimate push.

Currently all alone in 3rd right now, and if we can beat Minny tomorrow, there's a chance we'll have the first place Wildcard by the start of the weekend.
What even is this year?

Not buying that with this rotation as it is. They’re as mediocre a team as it gets given that.
I suppose Scherzer could actually make a decision to pitch for this franchise again though instead of waiting until the deadline to showcase himself.

Vladdy went 1-12 in the series. Guy needs to wake up and go on a tear. Bo is playing better than him right now and he's not going to demand $500 million. Awful contract.

He's been trying to do too much since the beginning of the season similar to Soto. I know nobody is going to shed a tear for these guys but there's a human element involved when you get that kind of money, you want to justify it but you end up forcing things. It's easy for others to perform when you don't have that pressure. He chose to stay here, I choose to cheer for the guy, he'll get it together I'm sure.

Holy heck. 6 teams all within a game and a half of each other fighting for the 3 Wild Card spots (plus, the Astros who aren't really clear in their division yet either).
Still really early in the season, but I'm loving how it's shaping up so far.

I don’t think it has anything to do with trying to do too much, it’s just more in line with his careee norms. He’s had 2 great outlier seasons amongdt some meh ones and this looks like another meh one.

Never like to see it, but Harper just got played on the 10 day IL, which means he won't be available when the Jays visit Philly next weekend.
