Jays have grit and making their playoff run as dramatic and unpredictable as possible. I can phantom Blue Jays lose game 5 have backs against the wall. Figure out a way to win 6 against the Dodger ace in Yamamoto to get to game 7

No way I am sitting Barger in this game. Regardless of Lefty, he should be in the lineup. Hopefully Bichette can start at Second Base, so the hitting Black Hole IKF can be on the bench. Same with Straw, who should come in as a Late Inning Defender. IKF and Straw are automatic outs right now, and that is the last thing you need with a motivated Snell on the mound tonight.

I do not mind having Davis Schneider in starting in LF, with Lukes sitting though to begin the game. Otherwise, have Clement at Second Base and Barger at 3rd, if Bo can only DH, and have Lukes in RF. It all depends on the health of Springer and Bo.

If Bo can play Second Base, I would not mind that at all. Just need the Black Hole bats of Straw and IKF to be not Starting against a motivated Snell, who should pitch much better than he did in Game 1.

So there's a chance we get a Straw-IKF-Gimenez bottom of the lineup? Great.

I'm treating tonight like game 7. It's absolute death if we lose tonight and go into an elimination game against Yamamoto.

It would be more in keeping with this team's MO to lose this and somehow beat Yamamoto though

I cant see Bo moving off DH even if its to try and get France in there to face Snell.

You cant game plan scared this offense has put up crooked numbers against some of the best in baseball (Fried, Rodon, Castillio, Kirby, Snell, and Ohtani). Yamo is amazing but I think if you have a chance to win a WS you gotta go all out regardless. The worst feeling would be touching Yamo for 3-4 but Max gives up 6+ on short rest and youre left wondering why Gausman didnt pitch that game. Game 7 would have lots of support for Max with Yesavage/Bieber available.

More than a chance, a strong likelihood.

I mean, we also do have the option of playing France at 2B or 3B as well if we really need to square the circle. He doesn't play it much, but he's played 2B more recently than Bo had, prior to this series.

I could maybe see them keeping Barger in there with Springer down. But man Snell decimates lefties, Varshos HR in game 2 was the first one he gave up to a lefty since Soto was on the Yankees lol

The ultimate team of destiny signal would be if IKF hits a grand slam in the next 2-3 games. Show me a miracle, baseball gods.

At the risk of randleing I am quite concerned with Trey tonight. 2nd time through, first on the road. He got away with great grinding in game 1 (and even game 6) that is not likely sustainable.

I'm also thinking we are not going to sustain that changeup success we had on Snell last game. Perhaps it was tipping related - let's hope he didn't find out what it was if that was the case.

I'll be happy with a 4-2run or 5-3run outing from Trey.
Hope he surprises me.

I suppose the only positive for Trey pressure wise is that it's not an elimination game like back in Game 6. (although it's close to one with Yama coming up)

Hopefully it probably being the last we'll see him this year we'll see a good one.

I agree about Trey Yesavage if his splitter isn't there again today. He didn't have command of that pitch in game 1 and you can tell he was struggling and resorted to using his slider a lot more. Hopefully he'll have that pitch today.

I would take my chances with Barger over Straw any day of the week (regardless of Lefty). Same with Schneider over IKF.

Interestingly, betting sites have Springer props listed for tonight’s game.

Wonder if they know something.

We need Randle McMurphy to work his magic again tonight.

They usually have some sorta insider info, I think Springer wants to be out there desperately. The fact he was even swinging yday was a good sign. Just sucks that we risk losing him for France if he tweaks something again. But with whats on the line tonight if George tells me he can DH he got too.
