Hasn't there been enough evidence that Schneider doesn't impact anything - it's all just luck

Put Varsho lead off and maybe we get 3 HRs from him tonight to win WS, and Randle re-names all his kids Varsho

Yeah i think their plan is

Shohei 3-4
Glasnow 2-3
Snell 1-2
Lefty for an out or 2
Yama to close

Why not slot Snell the lefty between the two righties Otani and Glasnow? Then Banda after Glasnow and then Yama.

I surely hope so. Schneider and this front office needs to learn what Roberts did, and be less stubborn for once. If I were them- I would have this lineup:

Springer at 1, Vlad at 2, Bichette at 3, Barger at 4, Kirk at 5, Lukes at 6, Clement at 7, Varsho at 8, and Gimenez at 9. Lukes and Varsho should not be hitting in the Top 5 if this front office and manager have any sense.

I literally don't remember a prior game starter who went 6+ innings pitching the next day in a deciding game. I'm probably wrong, and I didn't follow baseball as much in the 2000's, 2010's, as say the 80's and 90's, so I stand to be corrected.

I just don't see Yamamoto to close or even pitch. The arm just can't recuperate in a day from 90+ pitches. And this is also a guy that has pitched every 6 days in his entire MLB Career.

But I have been surprised before.

Yamamoto said after the game he is ready to pitch in Game 7, and feels fine. I can see him coming in for an inning if need be.

Plus it is Game 7 and the final game of the year. Yamamoto has the whole off-season to recover. He will be pitching tonight in some fashion. No wonder he was pulled earlier before 100 pitches. Roberts is saving him for tonight for at least one inning.

Why don’t they go with Bieber over Max considering it’s game 7?

Both are shaky and bit of a roll of the dice, but Max has been here before so he's more mentally ready for this.

No way Randle's hero and Man Crush Varsho should be hitting 5th tonight, based on his atrocious hitting numbers since Game 2 against the Yankees in the ALDS. I do no care about his supposed "bad luck" swinging at balls out of the strike zone. He sucks right now at the plate. If this team had any quality production from your Number 5 hitter- this team could have won the 18 inning Game in LA, and yesterday's game also (based on the number of men Varsho left on base).

Like I mentioned earlier my lineup is Springer at 1, Vlad at 2, Bichette at 3, Barger at 4, Kirk at 5, Lukes at 6, Clement at 7, Varsho at 8, and Gimenez at 9. Regardless, get both Varsho and Lukes out of the top 5 in the final game of this season for once.

The question is do you pull him after 2 innings this time?

Yeah the great ones have done it and Yamamoto is absolutely one of those.

Again, that early pull yesterday rather than burning him for 120 pitches gives them the option to go to him again today.

I’m not letting him face Shohei a 2nd time, no. I feel awful about him facing him even one time.

Also I love how Miguel Batista of all people pitched an out in that game 7 in between two of the greatest pitchers of all time.

Why would you bat Varsho 8 and willingly give the Dodgers a LHB window with him and Gimenez to exploit with Snell/other LHP.

I appreciate your misguided hate for one of our best players but it should probably be tempered by some kind of actual sense as well

I can feel the rogers center deflating after a few runs are given up but if the jays play like they have all season, they need to continue believing. I feel a comeback win coming 5-3
