Ugh, one of the other provisions involves replacing the tiebreaker games with instant tiebreakers (presumably head-to-head record or something). Tiebreaker games are great! A little chaos is okay!

Apparently starting in 2023 there will be a more balanced schedule, so no more facing the Yanks, Red Sox, and Rays 19 times each. That's probably the best thing to come out of this CBA for the Jays.

Unvaccinated MLB players won't be paid or allowed to play in games in Toronto, per report
According to Boston television anchor Duke Castiglione, the new Collective Bargaining Agreement mandates that players who haven't received their COVID-19 vaccinations will not be allowed to play games in Canada. Those players will instead be placed on the restricted list, meaning they won't receive payment or service time for the games they miss.

I'm going to assume that there's an unmentioned 'for as long as Canada has COVID border policies' clause there, otherwise this is extremely bizarre.

What are the chances that Charlie montoyo improved in the off-season?

Baseball is back baby! Love it! Good to see this forum active again.

I think Ramirez is the missing piece here. You add him to this lineup and we are a serious contender. But what pieces would you give up to get him?

So do we like the NEW CBA for the Jays. Increased CBT, which I don't think Jays will ever approach, means teams like Yanks/Sox/Dodgers, have additional threshold to spend.

Makes me think Big signing is coming to Yankees

Do we like the potential of full international draft, no more agreements with 14 years or whatever.
