lol yeah there could never be a fix in MLB

No history there at all

Did you not read my post? I said that that specific call was evidently not a fix, not that there could never be a fix.

Your reply has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

A fix is a much better explanation than anything else tbh

Nobody watching that replay thought it was a trap because it wasn’t a trap, it was a catch

Yanks just took the lead 5-1.
But we did what we had to do today (probably)

Assuming we win, knocking one day off without losing ground is pretty big.
A team getting 3 extra wins over 6 games is feasible, but not very easy.

Hopefully they do not party too much. Still need to lock up the division. Not a certainty, with the Yankees having the White Sox and the Orioles in their remaining 6 Games at home. I expect the Yankees to win them all.

I think all we need is to finish 3-3. I expect the Yankees to lose one against Baltimore.

MLB replay center tried their best to derail the game but they pulled it off. Celebrate a bit, get some rest and get ready for the final week.

You should expect the Yankees to win all 6 at home against two trash teams. Need to go at least 4-2 at home. Orioles had their best shot today, and could not get it done.

Did you not read my post? I said that that specific call was evidently not a fix, not that there could never be a fix.

Your reply has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

Unless I am mistaken, the reasoning on the call was that they couldn't see whether it was trapped or caught.

The problem was that the ump judged this suspiciously as not caught in the first place. That put the burden of proof on the Jays and there was no evidence to overturn. But how can an ump see what video replay cannot? That's suspicious because it is unlikely.

It also appears you have two positions. If a trap was the right call as you say, then you may believe this wasn't a fix rather than not evidently a fix.

Anyway, Jays win despite the possible fix.

I do not like this celebrating like you won the World Series, when in fact you are celebrating for the chance to compete in the Wild Card Series (LOL). We seen how that turned out in 2020, 2022, and 2023 when this team did not win a single game.

Winning the division means something. Going to the World Series, and ultimately winning the World Series means something. But the chance to compete in the Wild Card Series, not so much.
