This might be a dumb question... I understand that Schulman can be both the TV & radio commentaor, but how is it possible that the analysts for TV (Martinez/Siddal rotating) & radio (Leroux) are different?

How can you have a conversation/commentate live on air with 2 different people at the same time?

Ben Shulman, son of long-time TV voice of the Toronto Blue Jays, Dan Shulman, will take over the radio duties beginning with spring training action this month. Former pro player Chris Leroux will handle the radio analyst duties.

Dan Shulman will return as TV play-by-play host for Sportsnet, alongside game analysts Buck Martinez and Joe Siddall.

Another baseball off-season means another roster shuffle for the folks who bring Canadians the broadcasts of Blue Jays baseball.

After unceremoniously bouncing Ben Wagner from the radio booth following the 2023 season, Sportsnet has announced that the veteran will be replaced by a name familiar to fans of the team.

Ben Shulman, son of the terrific long-time TV voice of the Jays, Dan Shulman, will take over the radio duties beginning with spring training action this month. And unlike his predecessor, the younger Shulman will have a regular partner in the booth. Former pro player Chris Leroux will handle the analyst duties.

As has been the case in recent seasons, it is expected that the radio crew will call road games remotely.

Dan Shulman will return as the lead play-by-play voice for Rogers exhaustive TV coverage, joined in the booth by Buck Martinez and Joe Siddall, who will split the analyst assignments.

Expect an increased role for former catcher Caleb Joseph, who continued to evolve as an insightful studio analyst last season.

Ah thanks for this Polo, my mind must have skipped over the first names, maybe because they're both 3 letters, so I thought it said Dan for both TV & radio... I'm curious to hear Ben on the radio, especially since his dad is one of the best in the biz IMO.

He did it a few times last year. He’s good at it.

I hope they're not those ones from the early 2000s, those were terrible lol, so glad they eventually came to their senses and brought back the originals.

Manoah looking really really trim. That’s great news.

At least we won’t be faced with the argument that he’s struggling because he’s fat, or he’s struggling because he’s fat and because he’s fat his stamina can’t handle the pitch clock. Lol.

Love hearing the good Manoah buzz and you can’t really fake thinner, but it’s soooo in everybody’s interests to get a positive buzz going that I’m still slightly sceptical about the volume of gushing from staff.

Want that out of shape excuse out the window...

Really hoping that at least one of them breaks out in a big way. I dont' have much hope for this offence without a big unexpected contribution from somewhere.

Glad to see vlad in shape but I’m more concerned to see if hes improved his plate approach and swing mechanics. His timing was way off last year and he had no idea what to swing at and I’m not sure being in shape fixes any of that. Who was his hitting coach this offseason and why is he still not training with the Aaron judge guy
