We’re gonna have to hear about this forever right? That's another thing you do. Six months of posts everytime Vladdy get's a hit now... Did I say anything after his unimpressive first inning? No, I praised Barger for coming through. I'd take close to half a dozen guys in this lineup over Vladdy if we needed a big hit irrespective of what his WRC may be. By the way, 7th best in baseball I saw, doesn't sound like the worst contract in baseball history hey?

Other than Springer who is having one of the most unusual seasons in baseball history, Vlad is the best hitter in this lineup. Not a chance I’d take a half dozen guys over him in any spot.

And Vlad being a very good hitter currently has next to nothing to do with that contract being the worst contract in baseball history. That was the case when it was signed and it is the case now. Will probably be the case for the next half decade at least too. Unfortunately he’s got 10 more years after that.

Getting Yandy Diaz out is difficult enough when the umpires actually call actual strikes

David Frum on a podcast the other day was talking about how Ashkenazi Jews (of which I'm 25%) have been genetically bred down through history to be pessimistic. The ones who tended to be optimistic stuck around in threatening environments ... and got themselves killed.

All this is set for asking Randle an otherwise inappropriate question - are you Ashkenazi?

j/k mod. I don't really want or expect an answer.

Lukes would’ve caught that if not for the fan interference

That fan was way over the fence TF? And it can't be one and not the other. I don't think that ball was going out regardless...

Feels like 2022 Berrios again. I don't want him starting a game in the playoffs.
