Police: Blue Jays’ Reese McGuire arrested for ‘Exposure of Sexual Organs’

Blue Jays catcher Reese McGuire was arrested over the weekend near the team’s spring camp in Dunedin, according to Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi (via Twitter). He has a criminal appearance scheduled for mid-March.

The incident in question occurred Friday afternoon in a public parking lot outside a Dunedin strip mall, when a subject was seen inside an SUV exposing himself.

Sucks, was looking forward to a decent righty , lefty catcher combo and that might not happen now with this incident. We probably nixed a trade or two for him during the offseason.

I don't see how this relatively minor infraction would jeopardize his future with the Jays.

Less likely because he's a professional baseball player and thus can afford good lawyerin', but it's a good way to end up as a registered sex offender. And given that Florida, in particular, has notoriously strict laws for sex offenders, that's a good way to make it really difficult for him to play baseball.
