Biggio, Lourdes and a prospect... Where do I sign?

someone said a scout was also looking at Kirk as well. Meaning Moreno is off the table.

Biggio, Lourdes, Kirk ?

If Moreno is off the table they'd probably have to offer one of Groshans or Martinez.

Biggio, Lourdes, Kirk, Martinez? Sign Conforto to a 3 yr deal. Done and done

3 Big league players, and 2 and half every day players ,or very least 2 every day players, plus a prospect for JRam is pretty big ask. Though a KIRK/Lourdes/Biggio and for JRAM i'm not even blinking when accepting.

I can see why they have always been rumored to be interested in Lourdes, signed to a good "Cheapish" deal, they need an OF. Biggio, not sure why they would want him, other than cheap super utility type player.

Would help us clear our 40 man, but I hear Cleveland 40th is pretty filled up, so adding 3 guys to it, would be hard for them as well, without them having another deal lined up.

It's BS no way the offer went from Moreno+Manoah to Lourdes+Biggio+prospect(Kirk?)

Would need to be Biggio or Lourdes, right? Who becomes backup outfielder if both?

That Gurriel, Kirk, Pearson proposed above keeps some needed injury depth in infield and outfield, but sacrifices an injury replacement pitcher...

There's gotta be somebody on the UFA market that we could sign as a backup OF on a 1 or 2 year contract, surely?

Jays must soon put a price on cornerstones Guerrero, Bichette | The Star

DUNEDIN, Fla.—The primary focus of the Blue Jays’ front office for the last couple of years has been bringing in players from outside the organization to upgrade the roster.

Soon enough, the attention will have to shift to locking up some of the guys they already have, namely Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette. The two stars at the centre of a young core that is expected to be very good, for a very long time.

Neither guy is going to come cheap. Neither figures to offer a major hometown discount, and why should they? They are the faces of a franchise that has finally started acting like a big-market team again after an ambitious rebuild.

Kevin Gausman got a five-year deal as a free agent, George Springer signed for six and José Berríos got seven to avoid testing the market at all. Soon enough the time will come where the organization must ante up to reward the guys who started what could become a golden age for the Jays and their fan base.

Not surprisingly, when the Star asked Guerrero on Thursday about his desire for a long-term deal, it didn’t appear to be top of mind. The 23-year-old is one of the most-laid back players in the game. The Dominican native knows he’s going to get paid one way or the other — either through arbitration and eventually free agency, or by Edward Rogers cutting him a giant cheque a few years early.

Either option seems fine with him.

“I’m going to be honest with you guys, all I know is to hit fastballs and curveballs,” Guerrero said with a smile through an interpreter from just outside the Jays clubhouse. “The rest, I’m just going to leave to my agent.”

One question a lot of Jays fans seem to be asking these days is: Why haven’t these extensions happened already? They look at Fernando Tatis Jr., Ronald Acuña and Wander Franco — similarly talented rising stars, all under club control for at least 10 years — and wonder when the same will happen to Toronto’s young duo.

Guerrero and Bichette each have four years of club control remaining. There’s a sweet spot to negotiations like this, and the Jays appear to be in the middle of it now. Act too early and a team might make a long-term commitment to a player it has not learned enough about. Wait too long and there’s little incentive for the player to avoid free agency.

This off-season would have been the perfect time to get something done, but the lockout got in the way. Jays general manager Ross Atkins scrambled before the December shutdown to recruit Gausman, and Berríos’s contract had to be prioritized because with one year of control remaining it was now or never. Deals for Guerrero and Bichette are crucial, but there were more pressing short-term concerns that had to be taken care of first.
