Orelvis can field, run AND hit. This team is run by dumb and dumber, literally.
Not to defend vogelbach too much but Orelvis really and I mean really can't field he has 6 errors at 2nd base already. He'd be up already if he could even somewhat play 3rd or 2nd.
To be fair, I meant Orelvis would actually have a gloves in his suitcase en route to Toronto. Vogelbach is only here to hit but can't do that either.

Michael Bradley wrote:The Jays also have the 7th worst run differential in baseball as of right now, so it's not a fluke, if anything they have overachieved to be at 13-15, which is terrifying.
The 2023 team was one of the most boring and frustrating teams I have seen, and they've actually become more of that in 2024. A vanilla, bland roster with an unlikable coaching staff/front office and a farm system that is in the bottom portion of the league. Feels a lot like the JP Ricciardi years in some ways, but this roster is paying the luxury tax and has one of the highest payrolls in the league. If they can't even entertain fans with a payroll that high, much less give them a true (deep) playoff contender, then something is terribly wrong. They had the perfect excuse to let head rolls after the way 2023 ended but thought everything was perfect and doubled down.

Shapiro admitted 40 game mark on Bob mccowan podcast
I hope we lose the rest of our games. This team is even worse at hitting than last year. Who tf is going to watch this garbage? Im already checked out
Schneider will be gone guy is clueless and not worth talking about
But Shapiro better have balls to fire his protegé Ross

Ross is just a mouthpiece, like Bobby. He runs every decision by Shapiro. Shapiro knows that firing Ross won't change anything, but he isn't going to fire himself.

Shapiro is not going anywhere. Ownership loves him. We dont know if Shapiro micromanages the baseball ops department (according to him on bob he said no) but who knows. He will have to find a new GM if this year continues like this.

Nothing significant in baseball ops happens without his approval, I have no doubt about that.

This is true - he admitted this. Ie. Signing Springer to large $

Ya but they're not bringing Martinez up to replace Vogelbach's one at bat every 3 games, he'd be coming up to start at 2nd or 3rd, which I'm fine with. Although not sure this is currently the best environment to develop a young prospect.
