Yamamoto is a guy that I think you have to be even more aggressive against than many other aces because he doesn’t love throwing a ton of balls and goes up in counts often from people watching him paint the outside of the strike zone with his 4 seamer.

He’s very accurate and Will Smith sometimes barely has to move from where he sets up which helps him get a lot of favorable calls right on the cusp of the zone as it always looks purposeful and deliberate where the ball ends up.

If it’s anywhere near the strike zone tonight I want the boys swinging.

Don’t aim for walks versus this guy. It’s going to backfire.

They’ve burned a lot of good ones already on this run.

There are still plenty of legends left, but if you want the crowd to get fired up, it’s gotta be Kawasaki!
Molitor, Olerud or Vlad Sr are my guesses. Vlad Sr might be a little too much of a distraction/pressure on Vladdy Jr.

Molitor would be great, but he's always felt more like a Brewer than a Jay. (That said, I'd *LOVE* if the Jays started actually honouring and promoting ALL of our HOFers at least somewhere)

Olerud or Stieb would be amazing.

Like I said before the Series started, when some people were predicting Dodgers in 4 or 5, the outcome was already decided by God. The Jays were God's Chosen Ones to win this year, and the Hand of God was placed on them this entire post-season. Let's remain humble and keep God in our prayers. God does not like arrogance, so he might have second thoughts of making sure the Jays win the World Series tonight.

The Jays were a team of destiny, with the Hand of God placed on them for the 2025 MLB season. It will be tough for Yamamoto and the Dodgers to overcome the big obstacle called "God", unless God changes his mind due to the arrogance of Toronto fans. Let's remain humble, say a prayer to the man above, and he will finally deliver us what we have been waiting for 32 Years.

For all the US media about us being this guardians-like grindy team that works high counts and puts it in play we are a very aggressive team. Every hitter goes up looking for a pitch and you gotta be ready for it. Yammo has probably 115+ bullets today trying to "just" get his pitch count up is a losing battle. Have to be ready for your pitches because he has 7 pitches he can throw for strikes which makes deep counts tough. The Max Fried game is a great example we knocked him out but his pitch count honestly wasnt bad but we were so aggressive and just ambused him and he folded.

Ill say i would be surprised if he had the same control as Saturday. He actually is a bit below average in walks, i think we should hunt the fastball today and see if those spinners are gonna be painted all night again.

I’m not saying you’re wrong but they took exactly this approach in game 1 and he easily threw a complete game.

The guy is just ridiculously good with an incredible variety of pitches that he can command. We need to hope he’s even mildly off his game and just take advantage of the few opportunities we’ll get.

While we're focusing on Yamamoto, I hope we don't forget that the Dodgers offense hasn't had a game where they've truly exploded yet. Every series usually has one game where the bats are just going your way. Even the Yankees last year won the one game in the WS where they completely went off offensively.

I hope that doesn't happen, but I could see Game 6 being that game for the Dodgers

That’s not true… the brewers only scored 1 run in every game against the dodgers… they could just keep sucking again. That would be great. In fact I would say the 5 runs in game 2 and 6 in game 3 could be considered their offensive breakout games.

What's everyone having for snacks? I feel today needs to be something special. I'm thinking salt and pepper chicken wings with my favorite beverage.

Chicken wings and pizza over here, likely with some candy/chips as well.

Exact same menu as 6 years ago in June :D

This is crazy, and he's a rookie. This is what I said, he is already ahead of Ohtani as a pitcher, and he's a rookie. Will clearly surpass him second season, and probably over Clayton Kershaw as soon as his career ends.

Tom Henke for 1st pitch is my choice.
