Yeah,I have always wanted Lauer used more for this very reason. His command ,and location are no fluke. He really knows how to pitch.I hope they use him and the "8 different pitches" Bassit more.

"The Varshow" is the first lefty to hit a HR off of Snell all season.

Yo Bassit as a reliever is so fun to watch, I can't believe he wasn't used more.

Snell only pitched like 80 innings including the playoffs. He had only given up 3 HR period.

Must be a cool moment for Barger to get the post game interview with the Fox Sports panel.

His seen initial reaction to his popup in his first AB,was that he just missed hitting a HR,and he is always saying in his MLB interview post game that all he is ever trying to do is hitting a ground ball to the pitcher when he is at the plate.WILD !

Anyone have thoughts as to why Schneider used both Bassitt AND Lauer?

Was this supposed to be some aort of test to see who gets played and when? I thought using those two for the 8th and 9th was kinda surprising.

Make the Dodgers starters work and get to their bullpen as early as possible. The Jays did that tonight and it worked. That's the key to the series. If the Dodgers starters are going deep into games then the Jays are in trouble, but if they are out by 5 and the game is close, then the Jays are dangerous. Unlike the Mariners series, a bullpen vs bullpen game in this series probably favors the Jays. Tonight played out perfectly. Let's see what they do against Yamamoto.
