Location, location, location boss

Yeah,I have always wanted Lauer used more for this very reason. His command ,and location are no fluke. He really knows how to pitch.I hope they use him and the "8 different pitches" Bassit more.

Could have put away Seattle sooner by using them
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

To me the most impressive part of the night was how pedestrian they made Snell look. That guy was in Madison Bumgarner territory these playoffs and we broke him. Somehow we're still dogs in the series? (LA -115 TOR -105)

I was thinking the same thing. I would quietly pull David Popkin aside and sign him to about a 15 year contract with the Jays.

I just watched a few interviews with Snell. We want to face this man as much as possible.

This was a classic 2025 Jays win. Great contributions from everyone, lots of hard contact, very little swing and miss and excellent defense.

This is just a very good team. We need to make Yamamoto work hard tomorrow and get to this bullpen again. Put pressure on this Dodgers team.

They are a good team, but so are the Jays. However, looking at the Phillies series, I thought Philly choked that series away to be honest. Phillies blew out the Dodgers in one game, and lost three other close ones by being chokers (their hitters and relievers). The Brewers to me are an overrated team like the Detroit Tigers (who should have faced the Jays in the last series, but their hitters melted down in the last game against the Mariners).

The Jays were going to be the toughest team the Dodgers faced all year, but obviously the American media was going to say "Dodgers Sweep". The Dodgers lineup is comparable to the Yankees. I thought the Jays had it in them to make the pitchers work, like they did with Rodon, Fried, Gilbert, Castillo, etc. Only one game, but the bottom line is like I said three days ago- "The Jays in 6 since we live in the Six, because they are a team of destiny with the Hand of God on them".

Some great ABs especially Lukes's. Schneider was 10/10 yesterday.

My biggest worry coming into the playoffs was our offense against lefties handed starting pitchers and we have just killed the best lefties in the game (minus Skubal/Crochet). Snell/Rodon/Fried didnt just have to work but they got chased and honestly dominated.

I think the Brewers are good but they did have a bit of smoke and mirrors this year, they had insane BABIP luck and were the best base running team all year. But if you cant BABIP your way on base your base running doesnt matter.

They're basically doing the same things they were doing back since that July win streak. Just grinding out good ABs all throughout the lineup, not striking out and displaying good glove work in the field . Dave Popkins really changed everything here. The pitching has been the thing that's been up and down but they're getting enough of it to get by. The emergence of Yesavage has helped a lot in that regard.

I thought back 3 months ago that they were just riding a hot streak and was fearful that they'd fade at the wrong time but maybe it's time to accept they're just good.

You're right Phillies choked, I thought they were the best team in the majors.

Obviously an incredible night. Jays are a helluva good team and really well coached.

One thing nobody I haven't heard anyone mention is just how many Jays batters went to 3-2 counts last night. I don''t know what the actual number is but it felt like every other guy ended up at 3-2. That just has so many benefits ... tiring and frustrating pitchers, forcing them to throw strikes on the payoff pitch because they know you won't swing at balls, letting every other batter see their habits, and also it means you haven't already gotten out on a bad pitch. and then combining that patience with being the best 2 strike hitters in the league is just a killer combo. that sort of elite fundamentals and mental toughness is what will win them the title.

Also, if Lukes goes back in left and Barger in right tonight then this is the playoff batting averages of our starting World Series lineup:

.255
.324
.447
.500
.271
.277
.435
.325
.262

the worst average in the lineup is Springer, who is one of the all-time top playoff hitters and was 4th in the league in batting this year
