Agreed, it's not even close. They ruined a great thing when they got rid of the old logo.

Wow... the middle two of those are/were downright horrid. The current logo is way too generic for my liking. The team had an original logo that people like.

I know they got rid of it to try and attract the younger fans. How has that worked out for them. And what was the effect on older fans?

That 2003 one is garbage. I wonder which genius came up with that. Original one is by far the best, but I like our current one as well.

+1 for the original, but the current one isn't too bad.

The middle two are indeed horrendous.

I wish they would go back to the original logo, just with the baseball removed from behind the bird.

The 2003 logo is a good representation of the roid era with that juiced bird.

I guarantee that if they went back to the original logo/uniforms, attendance will increase. People love a winner and like to be reminded of when the Jays were winners.

I'm not opposed to using the original logo more, but I definitely am sick and tired of hearing about 92-93.

Also it's certainly not my fav, but I think I'm the only person on earth who kind of liked the T bird logo.

Anyone who votes for anything other than the original should be maple syrup'd and feathered.

The current one isn't bad but still comes nowhere close to the original. And the middle two? An MS Paint ripoff of the original and a 'roided bird with a maple leaf tattoo grabbing a big T? Seriously?

and is it only popular because it's no longer our logo?

I agree it's the best one but the organization must of had a very good reason to change it.

Of course; money. New logos more often then not = new purchases.

The '97 change was during the worst period in the team's history. It was simply a money/attention grabber to get the fans thinking about them again. I remember they even had a promotion where they accepted fan submissions. Being in grade 7 at the time, I got out my colored pencils and drew a hideous looking bird with a colorful cityscape in the background, which I'm sure they have framed somewhere as a joke.

I think the major reason is it reminds people of a time when the Jays were a force to be reckoned with.

Straight up. They need to bring in BJ BIrdie, but just get a more athletic younger guy in the costume.

As for the logo, the original is the best for sure. But the look of the logo is such that it only goes well with the powder blue uniformed. Just such an odd logo. You can really only make it "cool" by putting it on an all black uniform (or jacket or hat).

For that reason the current one works a bit better.

So if making money was the main factor, couldn't changing back to the original logo say for next season give the team a boost money wise after what may end up being a low attended season?

Wouldn't it bring back some interest to the team? Maybe some older fans will give the team another chance?

The powder blue uniforms own.

I remember last season when they wore their white throwbacks and they looked absolutely amazing. I really wish they would go back to the old unis/logo.
