I hope that Eveland makes solid contact at some point so that I can watch him waddle in the general direction of first.

This would suggest he would pitch long enough to get even get a chance to bat. Camon Dana!

There's a pitcher named Bill Buckner? I can only imagine how many times people have asked this kid about that WS error.

Little Billy Buckner was born in 1983, when Old Bill Buckner wasn't yet a pariah. Judging by his middle name, he wasn't named after the ballplayer, but rather a certain Populist and opponent of Darwinism.

Hopefully we pound on Haren; he got owned in his last start though, so there's the risk of a bounce-back performance...

You mustn't have enjoyed that Gyllenhaal/Ledger flick a few years back.

Arizona is one of the worst teams in the NL so hopefully the Jays can come away with a sweep.

With that said, I should also add that I hate interleague play.

He was one component of many...he and Aaron Cunningham flamed out, Carlos Gonzalez and Greg Smith went out in the Holliday deal (who turned into Wallace, who turned into Taylor), Brett Anderson looks pretty good, and Chris Carter was the 28th-ranked prospect in baseball coming into the year. Wasn't Liriano and Nathan for Pierzynski, but neither was it a terrible deal.

It was a very good deal. A lot of people think Anderson is a future Cy Young winner; and Carter should smash a lot of HRs (he's also the reason Wallace was expendable). Throw Taylor on top of that? Great deal.

Hopefully they cross paths with a jogging Joe Arpaio at some point during this series.

Did Morrow just throw a 90 MPH changeup? Filthy.
