Jays roster 3-5 years from now

Given we're going through a rebuild I'd like to hear from people what they think the Jays roster will look like 3-5 years from now given who's on our current roster, who we have in the minor leagues and the recent draft picks. Also take into account contract status and if we'd re sign any players currently on the MLB roster.

I'm just curious what players we have right now that people see as long term assets that will help us eventually become a contender. Please leave any position blank that you don't think we can fill from our current assets.

With at least a couple of the blanks I would figure we would trade some pitching since were pretty deep in pitching. Maybe Bautista will net us something after the season he's having right now.

I'm winging it here so don't come at me with your stupid "reason" and stuff

C - Travis D 'arnaud .301 BA/.350 OBP, 16 HR, awesome D and terrifying arm.
1B - Brett Wallace .313/.388, 27 HR, 87 BB, passable D, 807924 jokes about his thighs
2B - Aaron Hill .283/.329, 23 HR, some range lost but still turns a strong DP
SS - Hech - Leadoff hitter with .289/.341, 8 HR, 17 triples, 34 SB, and Rey Ordonez 2.0 at SS
3B - Chase Utley - The Phils let him go after his deal expires and he moves to 3B. Delivers 85% of the usual Chase Utley greatness, which is still damn good.
LF - Travis Snider - .287/.374, 37 HR, 34 doubles, 68 BB, 5 SB, and decent D in left. All-Star and Silver Slugger.
RF - Vernon Wells - Still doing his thing after being convinced to move to RF. .281/.328/, 24 HR, slightly above avg D
CF - Cameron Maybin - The Marlins give up on the kid after 2011 for Chad Jenkins and he blossoms in TO with .287/.348, 15 HR, 20 SB, and great D.
DH - Adam Lind - Settles into a nice average of .294/.374, 31 HR, a **** ton of RBIs batting cleanup after Snider

Lineup:
Hech
Utley
Snider
Lind
Wallace
Wells
Hill
D'Arnaud
Maybin

SP - Ricky Romero - 220 IP, 190 K, 3.36 ERA with help from the great D
SP - Brett Cecil - 215 IP, 175 K, 3.41
SP - Kyle Drabek - 215 IP, 180 K, 3.53 ERA
SP - Brandan Morrow - 190 IP, 190 K, 4.19 ERA
SP - Henderson Alvarez - 185, 155 K, 3.73 ERA

Closer - Who cares
RPs - Boring

The worst part, for me, of new GM's in any sport is they want to 'do it' with their own guys, so inevitably they move out some of the key players the prior GM had brought in. All of JP's guys may be on the block at some point in the next few years. I just hope he gets proper value back from the moves he makes. So far the Halliday trade looks pretty decent. No giveaways like the Carpenter fiasco!

Personally I don't see the reasoning for trading Lind and Hill....whether or not they brake out of the slump they will come back better next season. Plus they're still young and have a chance of doing better.

It was the same with Wells...I'll admit I was one of the people that wanted him out after back to back to back crappy seasons after Delgado left. But now that hes playing like the Wells we signed to the big contract...not a word about trading him.

I'd trade Wells for a bag of balls if a major league team was willing to take him and his full contract.

I'd let them keep their bag and their balls.

Even if he hits 40 HR, wins the Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, MVP, and the Cy this year I'd still give him away and probably throw in a couple bats and maybe a cap or two if that got the job done.
