Alex Gonzalez has been trade to Atlanta along with two lower level minor league prospects for high end prospects Yunel Escobar and Jo-Jo Reyes

ppl might be upset that the Jays traded Gozalez, who was the best SS we had in years, but think of the positive. Jays signed Gonzalez pretty cheap this past offseas without giving up any assets. Then just a few months later they trade him for 2 touted prospects.

**** Gonzalez was not gonna land us a high pick anyway, he was actully rated pretty low, surprisingly. So a trade was gonna happen at some point, cause Gonzalez will be looking for a big raise later..... also he is not too young and this season has been a big shock. Theres no gurantee he will sustain such numbers next season. Compare his past few season.

Escobar will battle Hechewaria for future SS position........
