Morales sounds about right. He's no lower than 7th in their system. I know nothing about him but I'm liking the scouting reports. Sounds kinda like Alex Rios.

If not Downs, I wonder if it's Marcum...?

My reasoning is that it also makes sense from the Twins' perspective...he's some distance away, and he's expendable with their other OF prospects. I'd also be thrilled if Gardenhire's hard-on for Nick Punto landed us Danny Valencia, but I doubt it.

Marcum would have to be a blockbuster. I'd bet on one of the relievers; Frasor or Gregg...although not sure why anyone would want to acquire Frasor.

I'm skeptical. AA usually doesn't let things slip. Might just be speculation. We'll see I guess, and I hope it isn't Marcum.

It seems like the slip is coming from the Twins' side of things.

It would have been something that slipped form the Twins side, which makes sense since this originated from a twins beat writer.

One of those cases where I really feel the "numbers" fail to attribute for the humanistic side of the story...the one in which Frasor is a mental midget who has been extremely up and down for several seasons now. You're in a playoff push, do you really feel comfortable with Frasor getting an out when you need him to?
