Fans have voted beloved broadcasters Tom Cheek and Jacques Doucet onto the ballot for the Ford C. Frick Award handed out by the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Cheek and Doucet, along with longtime Oakland Athletics radio play-by-play man Bill King, will take up three of the 10 spots for the honour given for excellence in baseball broadcasting.

I hope he gets it soon. Ive been hearing about this for years. People are eventually going to have voter fatigue.

Dave Van Horne (Ex-Expo Voice) wins Frickin' Award. Congrats to him.

Rack 'em up again for next year.

Since Tom died, I don't think it matters as much when he gets in. I like that a Dave Van Horne gets in while he's still alive. They need to open up more of these broadcasting spots per year so guys get in while they're alive.

My point is, I agree with voting in people who are alive to appreciate and enjoy the moment of induction. That is something the NHL HOF committee failed miserably at in Burns' case.
