Is Buck Martinez back next season?

Post#1 » by evilRyu » Mon Oct 18, 2010 2:54 am

Does anyone know if Buck will be back next season? I really enjoyed having him, and I felt that he really did help Tabler and Rance bring their A-games as well.. Given that Buck was a former catcher, I thought that the conversations with Tabler (also a former player) were very insightful, and I learned a lot.

I checked wikipedia and the article from The Star (http://www.thestar.com/sports/article/7 ... -announcer) that announced the initial signing, but it does not mention how long the contract is for?

Co-sign. Though he had a few Devlinisms here and there, I've grown accustomed to his voice every time a player goes yard. Pat and Rance are actually enjoyable to listen to now.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

No reason to think he won't be back.

As a transplanted fan, Buck is one of the main reasons I will sign up for mlb.tv. At first it felt a little awkward since I was used to him being a color commentator. But now, I really enjoy him, and especially hearing his calls when Bautista hit one out. For me, now the only way to pronounce it is Bow-Tista!

did you sign up for mlb.tv this past season? I'm interested in buying it for next season.. how much does it cost for the whole season, and do you know if Jays games are blacked out for the GTA only?
