Gary Bettman.....Next commisioner of MLB?

I couldn't believe it when I heard it, but Bob McCown has very good sources. According to him, Gary Bettman has been campaigning hard for the job. He thinks that Stan Kasten is the chosen one, but I found it interesting that Bettman is campaigning hard for the job.

I would jump for joy! Anything to get him out of the NHL and replaced by someone who knows hockey.

You're making me think of Simmons' recurring joke that Stern got Bettman hired as NHL commissioner to destroy one of his competitors. If this happens that joke would really start to get funny.
I would absolutely be floored if this were to happen.
