Veteran fodder for camp and/or LV. I do remember when Corey Patterson was expected to be pretty good though.

Patterson could be a nice addition. But I really don't see where he fits in into our crowded outfield.

Corey Patterson is not an MLB calibre player, so the room in our OF is irrelevant. If he gets any playing time, we're in big trouble.

Patterson's interesting with his speed and defense. Could be a good bench player to replace Lewis.

Good upgrades this season in back up OF with Davis and Patterson this year. Guessing they'll replace Lewis and Wise.

Sub-300 career OBA, sub-80% success rate stealing bases (ie: he hurts you more than he helps by trying to steal bases). And he's now in his 30s, so any remnant or potential value stemming from his legs will quickly evaporate. Only a minor league deal, but he should not, and will not, crack the MLB roster.

Yeah, I mentioned him 'cause I remember when he was a legit prospect. He never lived up to that billing at all and is not a viable big leaguer by any stretch of the imagination. If he makes AAA I'll be surprised, but he can fill the emergency 5th OF replacement and AAA CF filler when you lack a legit prospect ready for the level. Basically, there's no reason to fill AAA entirely with prospects, so you've gotta have some 30 something journeymen to fill space and IMO that's all these guys are. Not even that 'cause they'll be auditioning in camp to fill that role.

Corey Patterson was a top 5 prospect in all of baseball when he was 20, and now ten years later he is a borderline 4th OF at the MLB level and has been for the last five years. Prospects will break your heart some times.
This is all minor league filler. Happens every year. Patterson might be this year's DeWayne Wise though, depending on what they do in the outfield (if Davis starts).
